Matthijs has been active in the e-commerce sector for over 10 years. Besides a solid background in design, commerce and ICT Matthijs also has actively contributed to various open source initiatives.

One of these initiatives is the worldwide renowned e-commerce system osCommerce, deployed by companies like Google and Mozilla.

The Dutch and Flemish osCommerce community (http://www.oscommerce.nl) is ran by Matthijs together with several volunteers.

With around 13.000 registered users and a multitude of visitors osCommerce.nl continues to be the leading osCommerce community in both the Netherlands and the Flemish part of Belgium.

Matthijs is fulltime entrepreneur and heads several international commercial initiatives. Business activities include full service provider, security assessment, consultancy, application development and server infrastructure.
